Akiyoshi Cave

The Akiyoshi Cave was huge. We hiked over a kilometer into it. The cave consisted of large caverns with river running through it. The cave actually goes underneath the plateau shown in the next post.






You entered the cave where the river exited. I have never seen underground rapids and waterfalls before.


There were hundreds of limestone pools.





There were stalagmites and stalactites periodically through the cave.

It was very hard taking pictures in the cave so we are not posting most them.
